Our
parish lies in the Berlin district of Friedrichshain,
only 3 km from the TV Tower at Alexanderplatz. Our church has 3,700 members since
the fusion of 2 seperate parishes in 2003.
Our parish
priest is Hans-Joachim Birkhahn. He lives in no. 45a on the same street
as our St. Antonius church. In cases of Christening, Weddings, Funerals or participation
in classes (religion, holy communion, confirmation) please contact him.
Our
two churches; one small and simple, the other large and impressive.
The first is warm (St. Antonius), the second somewhat cooler (St. Pius). Both
churches can be found near Karl-Marx-Allee and are easily reached by train, bus
or car.
The St. Antonius church
Rüdersdorfer Str. 45a, 10243 Berlin:
Near the Ostbahnhof S-Bahn station
or the Weberwiese U-Bahn station. You'll find it behind newer buildings. Best
found using sat nav by car but be warned there are few parking places.
St.
Pius church
Palisadenstr. 72, 10243 Berlin:
Near Ostbahnhof S-Bahn station (15 mins)
or U-Bahn station Strausberger Platz (5 mins). Parking available.

Schoolchildren,
Altar Boys/Girls, young people, adults or seniors can find pleasent
company in a christian atmosphere in our church. There are also activities outside
mass available such as a Choir or discussion groups around various topics. There
are also rooms for games, theater performances, table tennis, bowling, parties
and more.
Both churches are accessible for wheelchairs and prams. The St.
Antonius church is also open for prayer during the day time.
Our church magazine,
the 'AntoniusPiusBrief', is published 6 times per year (A5 format, 20 pages) and
is available as pdf-file.
